A Better Me - Day 1/A Slow Start

It all starts well. I get up at 7am and go for a quick run before work. Wearing a high-vis vest and everything, I run for 30 minutes while listening to a personal development audio book. Yep.

With an American man still urging me to "be a little better every day," aim for success and let The Slight Edge work in my favour, I walk to work for 9am, with big plans of coming home eight hours later to attack the job market.

Summary of the second half of Day 1: Another 30 chapters of the book, three glasses of wine and an easily ignored first email from the seven days long online course that's going to get me properly set up for my job hunt.
